Dr. Hanna Larson has matched with the UW Division of Nephrology Fellowship Program, effective July 1, 2025. We enthusiastically welcome her return to Seattle!

Before starting medical school, Hannah worked as a research coordinator at UCSF and UW’s Kidney Research Institute. At KRI she studied the complexities of caring for patients with or at risk of ESRD and the impact of chronic kidney diseases under Dr. Nisha Bansal and Dr. Jonathan Himmelfarb. With Dr. Bansal, Hannah worked on the BOLD trial, the predecessor to the ongoing HOME-BP trial. It is inspiring to see Hannah come full circle, with the KRI playing an important role in her training.

Born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, Hanna attended the University of San Diego and graduated with a degree in Biochemistry. In 2016, she received a Master of Science in Global Health degree from the University of California San Francisco, completing her capstone research in Ndola, Zambia.

Hannah attended Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine for medical school and is completing her Internal Medicine residency program at Loyola University.

We look forward to welcoming Hannah back to Seattle this summer!
