WHAT IS THE Kidney Transplant Experience Online Module STUDY?

The purpose of this research study is to learn about the experiences of older adults related to kidney transplant as a treatment option for kidney failure. This includes people who have thought about or heard about kidney transplant, who have done testing or treatments to see if they could get a transplant, and/or who have received a kidney transplant. We plan to do interviews with older adults with kidney disease and then develop an online health experience module to help other patients, their family members, and clinicians understand the range of experiences related to the kidney transplant process.

Online health experience modules for other health conditions have helped patients and family members make decisions, understand what to expect, and cope with illness. These modules can also help healthcare workers and leaders better understand the experience of patients to provide better care.
