MolES-KRI Pilot Award

Dr. Pavan Bhatraju, a KRI investigator, Dr. Daniel T. Chiu, a MolES investigator, and Dr. Ying Zheng, who is affiliated with both institutes, earned a pilot project award of $10,000 for the project "Screening Biomarkers for Human Kidney Microvascular Endothelial Injury in Cytokine Storm." They actively participated in the MolES/KRI Scientific Exchange Meetings during Spring 2024.

The award selection committee was unanimously enthusiastic about the proposed interdisciplinary project, which could lay the groundwork for larger-scale research and future funded work.

One of the primary goals of the MolES Institute is to catalyze research collaborations and projects that result in impactful technologies for society.
