Dr. Ian de Boer appointed inaugural Director of Research at UW Nephrology

Dr. Raj Mehrotra announced, “I am pleased to appoint Dr. Ian de Boer as the inaugural Director of Research within the division of Nephrology. In this role, Ian will identify opportunities for collaborative research across the entire translational spectrum, fostering collaborations to bring findings from bench research to the bedside and from the bedside back to the bench.“

“This is a natural extension to his role as the Director of the Kidney Research Institute, wherein the goal is to foster cross-disciplinary collaboration for kidney disease research within the department, the school, and across different schools at UW. Please join me in welcoming and supporting Ian in this expanded role, to accelerate research within UW to advance the care of patients with kidney diseases.” Mehrotra continued.
