In Memoriam, Molly Boll

Molly Boll passed away peacefully at the age of 83 on December 24, 2025.

Molly BollA life well-lived

Born in Seattle, WA to Paul and Eleanor Malone on August 1, 1942. Molly was the eldest of their five children.

Molly lived a rich life, involved in supporting and volunteering for numerous charities and organizations. Even in her later years when her health had declined that didn’t stop her from playing an active role in organizations that helped the less fortunate, supporting education, and promoting the power of faith and prayer. Molly led several successful initiatives that she started herself from the ground up through her tenaciousness and passion to help others. Among these included the Diabetes Wellness Group which was a nonprofit that provided support and diabetes education to those who were newly diagnosed with diabetes and most recently, Prayer Warriors which mission was to spread the awareness in the power of prayer.

Impact at UW and the Community Molly Boll

Molly was active on two University of Washington Medicine boards, including the Kidney Research Institute Patient Advisory Committee, and a board that led the creation of educational materials for the hospital. She held a special place in her heart for those experiencing hardship. Her desire to help those struggling led to spearheading numerous foods drives in collaboration with Hopelink, one of which grew to involving eight Redmond Ridge Communities. She also gathered countless hygiene supplies through donations she requested that were given to youth experiencing homelessness. Molly remained a devout Catholic throughout her life working as Eucharistic Minister for Evergreen hospital patients, bringing comfort and faith to many.

Family

When she wasn’t coming up with new ways to serve her community, she loved spending time with her grandchildren, playing board games, and listening to music- especially the Three Tenors.

Molly is survived by her only child, Michelle Boll; her former spouse, James Boll; her two granddaughters, Morgan and Imogen Britt; her brothers Jim and John Malone, along with other family and friends who will sadly miss her.

A mass celebrating her life will be held at St. Jude’s Church in Redmond, WA.

In lieu of flowers, Molly would have wanted her friends and family to honor her by completing a kind gesture for someone who is in need. As an article by the Redmond Reporter quoted her in 2012, she said, “It’s an amazing feeling to be able to help others.”
