About
Maria completed her bachelor's degree in molecular biology and chemistry from Rutgers University in New Jersey. After working in a malaria research lab at Seattle Children's and as a forensic technician in Hawaii, Maria came back to pursue her graduate degree in Environmental Toxicology, studying the effects of cadmium on the gut-brain axis.
