The PKD-InVent Summer Student Enrichment Program

The PKD In Vitro Center (PKD-InVent) focuses on cellular models of polycystic kidney disease, such as human kidney organoids. By developing and sharing these models, we enable the research community to discover new mechanisms and treatments for PKD.

The PKD-InVent Summer Student Enrichment Program will support up to fifteen trainees (undergraduate, graduate, or postdoctoral) to attend a two-day annual meeting. This will include lectures, workshops, and experiences within our Center to inform trainees about the latest advances in PKD in vitro models and how to use them.

PKD-InVent consists of three Cores: an Administrative Core, an Organoid Products and Services Core, and a Resource Development Core, with Dr. Beno Freedman serving as the overall Director of the Center.

Please visit PKD-Invent’s web page to learn more. The application deadline is May 1, 2026.
